Make your very own soapstone carving! All you need is a little elbow grease and a little imagination. The kit comes with a cut out animal to give you a good starting point, 1 mesh sandpaper for shaping and detail work, 2 stages of sandpaper for smoothing, tung oil to bring out the beautiful colours and basic carving instructions. COLOUR: Reward at the end of Carving! Stone colour will be a total surprise until the carving is done and the carving is oiled, showing off the beautiful colours inside the stone.
SIZE: This size is perfect for kids ages 5 and up who do not have the hand dexterity to carve a full 3D Animal. It can be shaped and detailed with the Mesh sandpaper instead. Great detail can be achieved by folding the mesh sandpaper for final detail work. Bear comes approximately 3.25"x2.5"x5/8"
